About Us

Pelican Bay was founded upon preservation, conservation and development. The community was referred to as Clam Bay, and renamed Pelican Bay in 1974. The mangrove forest was designated a natural resource protection area by Collier County in 1982. The master developer, WCI set aside common areas to be maintained in perpetuity under the guidance of the Pelican Bay Foundation, the master homeowner’s association.

Exclusive Beaches

Pelican Bay’s white sand beaches stretch nearly 3 miles long and are staffed with helpful Beach Attendants ready to assist members and guests with loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, sailboats, and sea kayaks. Our beaches feature coastal dining, with full-service bar and take-out options, fitness classes, shower and restroom facilities, handicap ramps and beach wheelchairs.

Tennis

Pelican Bay is one of the most active tennis communities in southwest Florida. Enjoy 26 hydro tennis courts and 20 outdoor pickleball courts at 3 locations, professional instruction, regular round-robin mixers and fun-filled special events throughout the year.

Fitness

Pelican Bay’s Fitness Center is equipped with cardio, strength and core-training machines, including indoor and outdoor group exercise programs. Highly qualified and certified trainers are available for customizable plans to achieve any fitness goals!

Sailing, Canoeing and Kayaking

Right within Pelican Bay, encounter one of Florida’s most exceptional ecosystems, Clam Bay, and just on the other side, three miles of white-sand beaches. Pelican Bay provides kayaks, canoes and sailboats for an even more intimate look!

Culinary Delights

Our coastal kitchens provide a beach-side experience of open-air seating or indoor dining. Marker 36 and Sandbar are situated on the Gulf providing an airy, bright, open atmosphere allowing you to unwind taking in gorgeous views of nature, the white sand beach and infamous sunsets while savoring delicious appetizers or dinner with a delightful cocktail or fine glass of wine.

A modern yet inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of classic southwest Florida with vibrant and calm blue watercolors throughout its interior and al fresco seating areas, emphasizing an upscale casual beachside atmosphere. Chef prides himself on creating unique daily features capturing local and seasonal ingredients.

Sandbar

Sandbar’s ambiance is casual, bright and fresh with an elevated Mediterranean look and feel. With a passion for Mediterranean inspired dishes, Chef incorporates a unique flare from house made pomodoro sauce to Greek-style lamb burgers, there is sure to be something for everyone to savor.

Mobile Kitchen

For members and guests on the go. Enjoy delicious fresh, fast and convenient grab and go food and beverages at our mobile kitchen located at Sandbar.
